Description
Boaz ontvangt bij de stadspoort de sandaal van een man die net als Boaz het recht heeft om het land van Ruth en Naomi te kopen. De man toont hiermee dat hij zijn recht niet laat gelden. Een groep stadsoudsten is getuige van de koop en van Boaz' belofte om met Ruth te trouwen. Onder de voorstelling een verwijzing in het Latijn naar de Bijbeltekst in Ruth 4:4. Vierde prent uit een serie van vier. Staat 2(2).
