Description
In deze franciscaanse martelaar, vroeger geïdentificeerd als Franciscus of Bonaventura, wordt tegenwoordig Petrus van Siena herkend.
Notes
Aangenomen wordt dat dit schilderij samen met Galganus (ABM s15) en Kruisiging met meerdere figuren (ABM s16) oorspronkelijk deel uitmaakte van het Pizzicaiuoli-altaarstuk.

Natuurwetenschappelijk onderzoek: het schilderij werd onderzocht met infraroodreflectografie (IRR) op 6 december 1979 door prof. dr. Van Asperen de Boer. Negatiefnummers (origineel en gescand bij het RKD Den Haag): AB 266: 2-12, AB 1042:13.
